The King Stag is a family-run gastro pub in the heart of Bushey Village. Tucked down a quiet side road you will be surprised to find a bustling London-style pub offering locally sourced, fresh, seasonal food prepared daily in our kitchens, local craft ale, lagers and ciders, cocktails and a large range of spirits and wine. The King Stag has worked closely with Fever-Tree to bring you some of the best gin and tonic in the area.
Bushey local Robert, set up the business in 2013 and wanted to create a community pub where local people could come for a relaxing drink and a good meal. Serving great food is a priority at The King Stag. Robert has been passionate about food for many years and prior to opening The King Stag he designed food for Marks & Spencer and Waitrose. He's also worked with some top chefs such as Heston Blumenthal and Michel Roux Jr. Before this, he was trained under Michelin Starred Chef Mike North (The Nut Tree, Murcott, Oxfordshire). All this excellent experience still influences the pub's menu today.
Kerri, our General Manager, has has been with us since December 2013 and has been working and living in Bushey for the past 14 years. She loves getting to know our customers both old and new and prides herself on excellent customer service. She has a strong background in event-management and organises all our private parties from 20 to 165 guests. Kerri enjoys looking in to all the finer details to ensure each event runs like clock work and all the guests thoroughly enjoy their celebration.
